Beware of Cheap Chinese education!

Finally Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) administration has asked promoters of Chinese Universities those impart medical education to move out of its premises. The Hitavada on Monday published a news regarding Chinese universities promoting their MBBS course right in the campus of GMCH. Additional Chief Secretary Anand Kulkarni acted fast and directed GMCH authorities to ask agents of Chinese Universities to vacate the place.
Raising this issue, experts opined that parents and students should be aware of cheap Chinese education. Chinese and Russian universities are promoting their universities through agents, sub-agents spread all over the country. These agents meet students and explain to them about the education being imparted by them.
An expert in this field who is helping students to get admissions in foreign universities said, “There are 30 to 35 colleges in China, may be more than that, which are providing medical education. The appoint agents, sub-agents in India and other countries too. These colleges have good infrastructure and over 2000 intake. The education there is absolutely of high standard but students and parents should check the agents throgh whom they are approaching. They should see whether the agents have the authorisation letter of university of college or not.”
The students can get admission by paying just Rs 10-15 lakh for complete MBBS including college fees, hostel, food. They do not have to appear for Common Entrance Test, they donot have to pay donation etc. However, experts are quite sceptical about these tall claims and sought to know  credibility of people promoting Chinese Universities and basis for their claim about approved by Medical Council of India and World Health Organisation. Experts have cautioned students not to be lured by cost factor.
