Dr Vilas Dangre, a leading Homoeopath and Bhishmacharya in the field of Homoeopathy on Sunday warned Homoeopaths not to lower down their status by demanding to practice allopathy.
The Maharashtra branch of Homoeopathic Medical Association of India (HMAI) a national organisation has conducted a scientific seminar for Homoeopathic doctors and students on diseases of children named ‘Pediatric prescribing’ on Sunday at Ahilyadevi Sabhgruha, Dhantoli.
Mayor Anil Sole was chief guest,  leading Homoeopath of Mumbai Dr Parinaz Humranwala was guest of honour. Dr Vilas Dangre presided over the function. Dr Rajan Kalpande, President Maharashtra HMAI, Dr Murlidhar Idole, Secretary were seated on the dais.
Dr Dangre said, “By demanding that allopathy practice should be allowed, we, the Homoeopaths are bringing down our level. The Homoeopathy is based on full scientific research. The remedies of all diseases are in Homoeopathy. I shall not object if we are demanding our rights but I shall oppose if we ask anything wrong, improper. We learn in Homoeopathy colleges, take education of Homoeopathy, practice Homoepathy and now we demand that we should be allowed to do allopathy practice, why should we do?”
Dr Dangre said, “We should not cry that why Government is not supporting us. Mind well that unless we strenghthen ourselves, Government would never support us. There should not be any compromise regarding our practice. If I cannot cure the patients then I should advice him to go to other doctor but I should not adopt the practice of other pathy.”
Dr Yogesh Doye, Secretary Nagpur HMAI gave introductory speech. Dr Radhika Murkute compered the programme. Dr Shubhangi Bute proposed vote of thanks.
Dr Parinaz Humranwala guided the attending delegate in the Homoeopathic management of acute and chronic diseases of children by demonstration of successfully treated cases but also making them aware about emerging trends in treatment due to newer research methods being undertaken globally, thus enabling the new generation of Homoeopathic doctors to be well informed more confident, due to this seminar, for treating diseases of children.
